Just changed from the Technicolour Spark VDSL modem to the newer Huawei HG630b.I used to telnet into the old one using the same login settings as the user login, then use a command I had saved and this would show the INP etc. Is there a way to find the DLM profile on these modems?Keen to see if we'll get our 17a back after we had if for 2 days ;)Cheers

UFB Installation: How long?
I placed an order through Spark on 18 July 2015 and here we are in August and no sign of anything happening; Wilson Hurst already has all the approval documentation and they're waiting on something to happen with Chorus? at this stage I'm very tempted to move if we're talking about over a month just to get fibre installed. Anyone give me a heads up on what is happening and why is it taking so long?

DNS records for domain registered through Spark not resolving
We have our domain name registered through Spark, who appear to outsource this to MelbourneIT.Anyway, our domain no longer resolves. Spark help desk don't seem to have a clue, and MelbourneIT say "phone Spark".Is there anyone from Spark on here who can help shed some light on this?I'm hoping it will be resolved by morning, but if not this will cause major issues for my work.EDIT: I am also unable to log onto the DNS control panel.

Ozzy Roaming package nice but.....
We were in the Gold Coast for the past two weeks and my wife was using the Spark $39 roaming pack. Very nice and ideal for a holiday how ever the back end updates system needs some work. While the data and SMS side of things updated within a few minutes both the outgoing and incoming minutes took days to update. My wife went over the OG minutes ($7.40 worth) but wasn't aware of it until she go a text about 16 hours later say as much but the minute count didn't update until next day. She didn't use all her inbound minutes but as it was her mother who was calling her and she was on spark I was able to keep an eye on her minutes on her plan and compare it to the wife's roaming minutes. As at yesterday about 3 days after the last incoming call the inbound minutes had not updated . I can't check it at present as the Spark billing system is down all morning..

Slow ADSL2+ on Spark - is this correct?
Hi Folks,We've recently moved home and have significantly slower internet than in our old property - despite only moving 350m down the road (both properties in Sandringham, Auckland). We used to get approx. 13Mbps down on speedtest.net at our old house - and we're only getting approx. 6Mbps in the new place.I've been under the house and installed a master filter and got about a 20% bump in download speed (was approx. 5Mbps beforehand) - which is less than the increase I was hoping for.My router stats are as follows - is 6Mbps the best I can hope for - or is something else going wrong past my internal phone line wiring:DSL Modulation ITU G.992.5(ADSL2PLUS)ANNEX Mode ANNEX ASNR Down 10.6 dBSNR Up 13.9 dBLine Attenuation Down 32.9 dBLine Attenuation Up 18.3 dBPath Mode FastPathData Rate Down 7482 kbpsData Rate Up 913 kbpsMAX Rate Down 8312 kbpsMAX Rate Up 909 kbpsPOWER Down 18.6 dbmPOWER Up 11.3 dbmCRC Down 0CRC Up 0ISP is Spark. Thanks in advance for any help/advise you can provide.Dave

Late night - Constant disconnects for short seconds.
Recently (over the past 2 weeks) the internet connection My flatmate and I have with Spark has been going offline for hours if not for a few seconds every night after 10pm.Even after 10pm if there is an internet connection it is so slow that it will disconnect skype and take up to thirty minutes to even load up Facebook or other websites. I've done a speed test and it says I have a 8MB connection yet if this is the case why am I suffering so much from this constant lag and inability to even browse the internet at a basic level?Because I am a gamer, an MMO game this becomes highly infuriating especially when if I disconnect the router is then unable to find the server again. My flatmate who was in this apartment before me has no idea how to log into the router and is not tech savvy in the least. Is there anything that can be done? This also becomes double an issue when many of my family live over seas and I am unable to use the internet between 9pm-5am when I am able to speak with them.Ive tried:Resetting the router. (Never works)Changing which plug my ethernet cable is plugged in (doesnt work)Logging into the router (Neither of us know the details and the default does not work)Resetting the PC. - Your ISP and plan - Spark, Unlimited plan. - Type of connection: ADSL I believe. - Your modem DSL stats: - Your general location: Hamilton CBD/Hamilton East - If you are rural or urban: Urban - If you know your connection is to an exchange, cabinet or conklin : No idea. - If your connection is to a ULL or wholesale service: ...? - If you have done an isolation test as per the link above: Yes. Nothing fixed the issue.

Morepork - Spark venturing into Home Security
Who has seen this launch today> http://www.morepork.nz Looks like a great new way to:a) break into your neighbours houseb) spy on your neighbours through their own cameras?I personally can't wait to see how long before someone hacks it publicly. Plenty of known attacks against alarm.com which powers Morepork.

Recommendations on an alternative router
Does anyone have any strong recommendations on an alternative router for a Spark UFB business connection? I'm helping out a friend who has one in his business, and the Spark provided HG659b keeps dropping the route for their DVRs port forwarding - because the DVRs don't talk to the DHCP server it seems. Tried the latest firmware, and basically he's fed up and just wants to replace it.Currently using the wireless on the router so wireless capability is desired, although I could set him up with separate components if needed.

UFB - Intermittently disconnects from internet
I am on a Spark 200/20 plan using the Spark supplied HG659b gateway running the latest firmware version V100R001C227B018 (as per Spark's website). There is no alarm over the old copper wiring. The house phone is connected to the POTS port of the gateway.Every day or two, we lose connection to the internet for between 5 and 10 mins (while we wait for it to re-establish its connection). The PC (Win7) wired to the gateway displays the yellow exclamation mark on top of the network symbol in the system tray and the router status under UFB says "Connecting". The ONT has the power & Optical lights green.Rebooting the router does not restore the connection reliably but when rebooting the ONT, waiting for the optical indicator to go green and then rebooting the router seems to re-establish the connection more often than not.I have not identified any event in and around the house that happen at about the same time (lights flickering, phone ringing etc).Questions1. Has anyone experienced same/similar issues and what was the solution?2. What information is relevant when investigating this type of problem (are gateway logs useful or not, what level logging should the gateway be set to etc)3. Does anyone have any other useful ideas that could assist Spark/Chorus is resolving the issueI would like to have as much information handy as possible before logging the issue. Thanks

Forwarding SMS to another phone - Spark side?
Is there any way to somehow divert all SMS to another mobile number?I have a work phone, which I don't use very often, and would much rather only carry about one phone. I am able to forward voice calls no problem, but wasn't sure how, or even if, SMS forwarding is possible OOTB with GSM.This question for me specifically relates to Spark, but I guess it would be interesting to know if its possible with other providers too.
