Hi There - Hoping on of the technical team from Spark can assist here.I am helping my parents who have recently switched from WXC to Spark. The issue is as follows - They have a reasonably modern house with the ONT installed in the garage with a single cable to the comms cupboard which is under the stairs in the middle of the house and then this feeds ports to the rest of the house. This cabling was all in place when the house was built ~ 5 years ago.For the last 5 years WXC has been working fine, router in the comms cupboard and landline delivered over this with the telephone plugged into the router. Recently switching to Spark, we have discovered that the landline has to plugged into the TEL1 port on the ONT which is an issue since the router is in the comms cupboard in the middle of house and the ONT is in the garage. So - Can Spark not deliver landline where one plugs the telephone into the Spark router?Due to this wiring issue - we might have to switch from Spark as we have no other options. Thanks

No login page to Spark HG659b router
Hi all. I have a Spark UFB service that's using the Spark supplied HG659b router.Upon router startup, it all functions normally and I can log into the Router's admin pages correctly. However after a short time (10-15 minutes) a request to the admin page URL (192.168.1.254) displays nothing - the browser just times-out on an empty page. If I power-cycle the router and I can log into the router again (- same browser session and URL - just a refresh in browser). Throughout all of this, the router appears to be functioning properly, I just can't get into the admin pages (e.g. wifi settings, or checking error status, etc).Any ideas?

Anyone verified Spark unlimited mobile plan’s speed after 22GB?
Vodafone clearly stated it will cut speed to 1.2Mbos after 22GB usage, while Spark say nothing.Has anyone actually tried this over usage limit? Someone told me it will be 1Mbps for Spark. Then it will be worse than Vodafone

Unplan or other unlimited 4g/RBI options?
So a friend of mine is about to temporarily move out to his parents house for a few months before moving overseas, which is on Turners Road near Christchurch.. it's not too far out of town but the internet appears to be dark ages level. He said his parents are currently on a 240gb 4g plan, because the ADSL sync where they are is apparently 1mbish.So we've been looking at the Unplan, and if we're reading the T&C's correctly, the only thing Spark will do in the event of you going over their soft limit, is require you to switch to using fibre or change you to another plan, and you can terminate without ETF if they do that. Are we missing anything, is there anything to stop my friend from switching them to the unplan, and hammering the snot out of the connection until Spark either install fibre for him (yeah right) or forcibly change him to another plan, which he can either accept (e.g. back to 240gb) or decline with no ETF payable?Alternatively does anyone know of a better option to give him unlimited?

Rural options - femtocell, etc?
This is the only reason I have to be with Vodafone, who appear to be this year's carrier at the bottom of the heap. So what's happening Spark? Is it true you are considering femtocells?

Spotify Premium broken since a plan rollup
Hi teamMy wife bought an iPhone XR on November 2nd. We were listening to her Spotify Premium in the car on the way to Spark. We paid the difference of her old phone's interest free payments onto her account, and the Spark rep then rolled up her Open Term plan so that there was only going to be one device on it. All good at that point, we walked out with her new phone and things seemed normal. We got back in the car and when she launched Spotify she started getting ads. When she checked the subscription, Premium had disappeared. I figured there must have been something that happened during the rollup and maybe she needed to activate the Premium subscription again via the Spark website. We got home and tried that, but got an error at the final step (on the Spark side) saying there was a "Spotify Registration Error" and "There has been an error with your request". I got on a chat with Spark and went through the usual same steps I'd already tried, and was then told that there was an issue with Spotify where accounts had been randomly dropping off. I found that weird and very coincidental that it happened at the same time as the plan rollup. When I queried this I was then told the rollup was stuck in the system. That made more sense, so I said I'd try on Monday when the rollup had processed and see what's what.Come Monday the same problem occurred. Contacted Spark again, and it was escalated to the back end with a 3-5 day turnaround. A few days later my wife got a message saying it's resolved and try again - same problem occurred. A few days later, another update - it's fixed please try again.....but same issue again when we tried. Then yesterday she got an email at 11am from a CSR saying he'd check again and come back to us that day. Cut to Monday and we've heard nothing. Can anyone help with this? I don't have a problem with things going wonky now and then, but this has now taken 11 days to fix and my wife is getting very frustrated not being able to listen to her music at the gym and in the car. Thanks!

$100 call to satellite network on 92 year-old's bill
My mother-in-law has been charged $100 for a 5½ minute call to the Thuraya satellite network. She may have briefly answered a scam call, but not 5 minutes.Spark support seem to be overloaded this morning, is this normal for a Monday? Or are lots of people querying bills, due to a lot of these charges?

Spark VoIP only to ONT
As per the thread at https://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?forumid=39&topicid=242387, I too have just discovered that Spark only delivers VoIP to the ONT. My situation is slightly different, as I have to pull the LAN from the ONT to the router (Fritzbox, ex Snap) on a Ethernet over Power connection due to the design of the house.I am considering ditching my landline as Spark can't deliver this (and said nothing regarding it when I signed up for two years) but I note that when in the original configuration (phone on Fritzbox), I still get dialtone. Perhaps that's a Fritzbox thing... Does anyone know WHY Spark can't do what their competitors do here? It's all the same Chrous UFB network. Is there any reconfiguration of the ONT that can be done to circumvent this?

Spark vs Skinny mobile roaming
Without playing devils advocate I can't help but notice the better value you receive with Skinny's roaming packs - getting an additional 500mb for the same price. Spark is constantly touted as a premium network that has these value added services and I can see this reflected in my monthly account. But it's just a shame that Skinny can go and offer 1Gb of roaming with their $20 packs. Who knows. Maybe it'll change in the future.

Spark unlimited mobile plan update
Just receivedCustomers can now get unlimited data, calls and texts for $99.99 and share with up to 3 others on their account for just $29.99 each*. With four people on an account, the average price is now only $47.49 for an unlimited connection.Today, Spark is launching a set of new Unlimited plans that dramatically reduces the cost of unlimited mobile data, as a step towards making ‘unlimited for everyone' an achievable goal. The intention is to make unlimited mobile plans accessible for more Kiwis.Previously, Spark simply offered a standalone Unlimited mobile plan for $79.99. But now Kiwis can buy a new $99.99 Unlimited mobile plan to which they can then add up to three Unlimited plans for just $29.99 each. This new Unlimited plan allows up to three other mobiles on the same account to access unlimited data, minutes and texts, offering unlimited mobile data for a relatively small extra cost per line. Everyone on the new Unlimited plans has unlimited data, calls and texts (standard NZ and Aus numbers). Maximum speeds are reduced after 22GB; each connection gets full speed for their own 22GB of usage per month. No tethering or hot spotting is allowed on any of the plans unless a Hotspot Extra is purchased. The $99.99 Unlimited plan includes Spotify Premium and Lightbox on us. $29.99 Unlimited plans include the option to purchase an additional Spotify Premium subscription at half price.Customers stand to save significant amounts each month. For instance, a year ago unlimited mobile data, text & minutes for a family of four would have cost $319.96 per month. Now it will cost them $189.96. A couple who would have paid $159.98 per month can now pay just $129.98 per month together. And when you average the price paid, these new plans are the cheapest way to buy unlimited in New Zealand by far – and are cheaper than many other providers around the world. For instance, with four Unlimited plans on the same account, the average price is only $47.49 per line a month.Joe Goddard, Tribe Lead for Consumer, says, "We think this Unlimited plan is the next evolution in mobile for New Zealand. A year ago, hardly anyone had unlimited mobile data on their phone. Today, over 50,000 Spark customers have an Unlimited mobile plan, with thousands more joining every month. "There is huge and growing appetite for plans that give you that freedom – customers love the confidence they have on unlimited that they'll never run out of data in combination with the peace of mind that they have a fixed plan cost."An Unlimited mobile plan is just making sense for more and more people. Mobile data usage is climbing rapidly – compared to two years ago, mobile customers are using 165% more data on the Spark network (and this excludes data used by wireless broadband connections)."We think the future of mobile should be unlimited amounts of data for everyone. We get the upside of having more customers enjoying Spark's mobile plans – our customers get unlimited data at an amazing price."The cost of mobile data from Spark has massively decreased in the past few years – two years ago, $79.99 got you 5GB of data, and as recently as August last year, unlimited data set you back by $129.99. Today's announcement of these new Unlimited plans brings the average price down dramatically, making unlimited plans even more affordable to more New Zealanders. * For each mobile, speeds reduce after 22GB, no tethering or hotspots, standard NZ and Aus numbers only.

Spark VDSL Upload Speed Issues Vigor 2860 + Troubleshooting Info
Hi there,I'm working on a site with very slow VDSL upload speeds (download isn't the best either) - around 20Mbps down and less than 1Mbps up.I've checked all the settings on the Vigor 2860 and it all looks good: Screenshot of settings is below - I changed 'Encapsulating Type' from VC MUX to LLC/SNAP as per the recommendations on the Snappernet datasheet, but there has been no improvement. VLAN Tagging is set to 10.I've also included a shot of what I assume is the master filter installed onsite - the line is VDSL only, so that photo is of the line's point of entry into the premises. It's worth noting that the site is on the far limits of VDSL coverage but Spark were happy to provide it. Any suggestions on what we could do to improve the situation? Thanks in advance!WAN Settings on Vigor 2860: Incoming line:
